Job Description
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum seven years of progressively responsible experience in IT in a government, non-profit, or private-sector environment, including at least three years in a supervisory role. Broad technical foundation encompassing system administration and application development understanding how networks, servers, and software components interact and ability to apply that knowledge to design, implement, and maintain secure, efficient, and user-friendly technology solutions. Proficiency in database management, particularly with SQL Server. Experience administering Windows environments, including Active Directory, PowerShell scripting, and server configuration. Familiarity with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and quality-assurance practices. Experience developing or integrating applications and improving processes through testing and user feedback. Knowledge of IT security standards and compliance obligations applicable to the U.S. House of Representatives environment. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor staff, manage multiple priorities, and deliver excellent customer service. Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences, including senior attorneys and the office leadership team. Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of IT governance, documentation, and policy-development practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with standard collaboration tools.
