AND Specialized Experience for the GS-11 level: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled, which includes: Performing needs analysis to define opportunities for new or improved Information Technology (IT) business process solutions; Identifying barriers to IT project processes and recommending corrective actions to senior staff; Tracking and monitoring IT project activitiesresources to mitigate risks and provide status to all stakeholders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower gradelevel position in the federal service (GS-09).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, at the GS-11 level, you may qualify if your education meets the definitions below: Education substitution for GS-11 level: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a Pd.D. degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, three full years of graduate education from an accredited or pre-accredited institution that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
