A large retail commercial bank is seeking a highly skilled, dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Software Engineer with strong experience using Python, Django, and FastAPI who is passionate about making a positive impact in the financial industry. In this role, you will join the Automation Team, a shared service across the business and IT, to automate applications to run more efficiently. The role is remote in the US but the candidate is expected to work 8AM to 5PM Central Time. As a background, the bank has close to 90B in assets, 9K employees and more than 2M customers along the east coast. In addition to providing excellent banking experiences for their customers, the bank also very involved in the community through charitable giving and philanthropy to give back to lowmoderate income and underserved communities. The Senior Python Developer will be writing reusable, modular Python code to automate tasks and processes in business and IT applications. The developer will also be working in Django applications and be responsible for building, managing and troubleshooting backend APIs using FastAPI. Additionally, the person should possess the ability to troubleshoot the entire OSI model, REST APIs, and API Gateway. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role as the developer will need to be able to understand and express technical and abstract concepts using written and verbal English. Compensation: 70hr to 80hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
