JavaScript Developer / Hybrid El Segundo / Full time / Backend / AWS / 3D

Job Description This is a hybrid, full-time opportunity with a fast-growing startup at the intersection of AI, automation, and 3D design. The team builds intelligent desktop and web tools that streamline how digital dental models are created, reducing manual design work by up to 95 through a combination of AI integration, 3D geometry processing, and real-time visualization. Youll work across a modern stack that blends Electron, React, and AWS serverless backend services, helping build powerful, production-ready tools used by dental labs and clinicians worldwide. This role is perfect for a developer who enjoys working across multiple layers of a system from 3D rendering to backend APIs and wants to solve complex, technical problems that directly impact real-world outcomes. Candidates must be able to commute to the El Segundo office two days per week, with remote flexibility for the remaining days. Required Skills Experience Strong proficiency in JavaScript and React Experience developing and maintaining Electron desktop applications (file system access, local storage, JSON configstate management) Working knowledge of AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3) Familiarity with Three.js and foundational 3D geometry concepts (STL files, point clouds, transformations) Ability to work confidently across frontend, backend, and desktop codebases Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field Must reside within commuting distance of El Segundo, CA U.S. citizenship required Desired Skills Experience Experience designing and refining UIUX interfaces Background in Python or experience with 3DCAD software Knowledge of geometry processing, including mesh manipulation or point cloud optimization Interest in CAD systems, medical device technology, or workflow automation Strong communication skills and comfort working in small, fast-moving teams What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown 60 Electron React application development 25 Backend development using Node.js and AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3) 15 3D rendering, geometry processing, and visualization (Three.js) Daily Responsibilities 80 Hands-on development (desktop app, backend, and 3D rendering) 10 Code optimization and feature architecture 10 Team collaboration, planning, and testing Youll enjoy benefits like: Equity Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance Note: Applicants must have current and ongoing authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
