Job: 2091369 Job Description: Senior Java Developer Credit Card Processing Systems Location: Onsite Hopkins, Minnesota Contract Type: Hourly Contractor (Non-Exempt) Duration: 12-Month Contract Hours: Full-Time (40 hoursweek) Team: Credit Card Processing Systems Program Team: Application Development Job Overview: A leading financial institution is seeking a Senior Java Developer to support its Credit Card Processing Systems team. This role is part of a strategic modernization initiative requiring onshore engineering support for real-time data streaming, automation, and validation tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java development, Kafka-based streaming architectures, and automation testing, with the ability to collaborate across infrastructure and security teams. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and deploy real-time data streaming pipelines using Kafka, Flink, or similar technologies. Develop and optimize high-throughput, low-latency streaming workflows for financial applications. Design, develop, and maintain Java-based microservices and automation frameworks. Integrate Real Agentic AI models into streaming architectures to enable intelligent, autonomous decision-making. Implement and manage CICD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and Liquibase for database version control. Collaborate with infrastructure teams on API security, container orchestration, and observability. Ensure compliance with banking industry standards for data governance, security, and reliability. Provide production support and post-deployment assistance for streaming and microservices systems. Monitor and troubleshoot production streaming systems to ensure high availability and performance. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices and reusable frameworks. Required Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5 years of experience in Java and Spring Boot development. 3 years of hands-on experience with Kafka, Flink, or similar streaming platforms. Proven expertise in managing and scaling complex streaming workflows. Experience with Selenium, RestAssured, Cucumber (BDD), and CICD tools. Solid understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and stream processing patterns. Experience with Liquibase or similar tools for database change management. Preferred Skills: Experience with Real Agentic AI frameworks or architectures. Familiarity with API Gateways, Service Mesh (ISTIO), OAuth2, JWT, and mTLS. Knowledge of Oracle, Postgres, Cassandra, MongoDB, Kafka, and SQL Server. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Splunk, Datadog, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
