Job Summary: We are hiring a Senior Principal Engineer to shape the future of enterprise tools (Order Management, Customer Relationship management, Sales force, financial system) As one of the most senior technical leaders in our organization, you will set directions for fleets associated with customer relationship management, Order Management System, HARP financial system. You will partner with executive leadership across engineering, product and data to align strategies with companywide priorities. This is an individual contributor role with broad technical scope and organization influence. In addition to solving high impact technical challenges, you will serve as thought leader and mentor-elevating the work of other senior engineers and helping to build a culture of technical excellence and innovation across the organization. This is an individual who will be accountable for quality code delivery to production through a gated code review process and also be involved early with the product team to requirements. Responsibilities and Duties of the Role: Influence strategy to address internal or external business objectives Leads highly visible multidisciplinary projects or initiatives, providing thought leadership and influences decision making Proactively identifies and solves complex and business critical matters that impact the direction of over Serve as a cross-functional thought leader, partnering with senior executives in Data, Product, Engineering, Sales to influence company-wide enterprise tools (CRM, financial system (HARP, billing), order management, Databricks etc.) strategy and investment. Mentor and elevate technical leaders across teams, fostering a culture of innovation, rigor, and excellence in Enterprise system area Basic Qualifications: 12 years of experience in software engineering, architecture or relevant field Strong data integration area experience Prior experience in designing Order management system or financial system Strong technical expertise including many data technologies such as Databricks, Spark, Flink, Kinesis, Python (Pandas, NumPy), Java, Snowflake, AWS Glue, AWS Athena, Single Store, Airflow, Springboot Strong data integration area experience Strong experience working with AWS cloud and its technologies Preferred Qualifications: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define data strategies that align with the organizations objectives Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to ensure that data solutions meet business requirements and align with technological capabilities Create data models that illustrate how data elements relate to each other to guide database design and development Design ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to extract data from various sources, transform it into a usable format, and load it into target databases or data warehouses. Identify bottlenecks, optimize queries, and implement caching mechanisms to enhance data processing speed Work to integrate disparate data sources e.g Databricks, S3, Snowflake including ODS (Operational Data store) system and external application programming interfaces (APIs) of Ad-Platform, enabling organizations to derive insights from a holistic view of their data Strong big data and data quality experience Experience in Ad Platform domain, streaming technologies. Required Education: Bachelors degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field. The hiring range for this position in Glendale, California is 223,700 to 300,000 per year, and Santa Monica, California is 223,700 to 300,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidates geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus andor long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, andor other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
